Movies Capital Review | Download Full Movies | Legal Downloadable Movies

Movies Capital is a movie download site which my friend recommended me more than a year ago. You see, I used to rent a lot of DVDs.  And even though it’s just a few dollars per movie, it does add up quite a fair bit every month.

I was searching for a better and more affordable way to get those movies. Going to the cinema theaters was reserved for the weekends and the weekday night hours can be really slow. I have tried absolutely every way. And when I say that, I meant surfing the net for movie streaming channels like movies-links.tv and so on.

It’s always a hit and miss. Most sites either don’t work at all or the video connection stops mid-way. And the picture and audio quality are often very poor. The experience was hardly enjoyable. Yeah, I do save some money, but the truth is, I was wasting hours of my time searching and watching these half-baked movies that look like “pirated” versions that are taken in cinema theaters using video cams.

Just 2 years ago, I came across some online articles that talked about movie download sites. I was curious and checked out some of the sites. All these sites basically charge you a membership fee to join.

Now, I didn’t want to commit to any one of them and therefore took the cheapest package from each of the sites to try out. The movie download sites normally charge a flat fee for either a 3-month, 1 year or lifetime access.

This is how these sites work, once you sign up for the membership, you will be able to download a proprietary software to connect your PC to a Peer-to-Peer (P2P) sharing network. Using this network, you can search for the movie you want and it will go through the network and display the sources. And once you have found the sources, you can then download your movie file.

The database is huge and you can find almost any movie you want. I did a search for some really old movies such as the GodFather and the recent ones like Prince Of Persia, Transformers and Twilight and managed to find them.

While I was able to find the movies I want, a few things pretty much annoyed me. Many of the movie files downloaded from sites like The Movie Center and Quick Free Movies are actually incomplete and poor in quality.

On several occasions, my computer was infected with pesky adware, spyware and viruses. In the end, I had to reformat my hard drives. This is the risk of downloading from a P2P site.

Sure, you will be able to find high quality movies from these sharing networks, but there is a risk of infection by malware and computer viruses. That said, I am also to blame for not  protecting my computer with proper anti-virus and anti-spyware software.

Another issue that I had to grapple with at several download sites are slow download speeds because of overloading on server resources. I believe that those are small sites with limited server resources.

There are also professional movie download sites and one of them is Movies Capital. I like this site very much especially after my not-so-good experience with some of the smaller download sites. So I thought it would be good to write a short Movies Capital review here.

In terms of movie selection, Movies Capital has a wide range of genres from Romance, Drama, Mystery, Thrillers, Suspense, Family and so on. I tried to search for some very obscure, little known movie titles and could actually find them.

Needless to say, the latest movie releases are also available. This makes me really excited because the DVD rental shops are not never fast enough. Movies normally take a while after the cinema screening to hit the shelves of retail and rental shops.

As far as I know, Movies Capital is the only movie download site (I may be wrong) that allows members to download directly from their server. There is no P2P sharing involved. This means that there is no risk of infection by malware and viruses to your computer. I have downloaded many movies over the past year and my PC has never gotten a single attack.

The download speeds at Movies Capital are fast. It takes me normally 40 minutes or less to download one entire movie. There are times when I have to spend 12 hours just to download 1 movie at other movie download sites. It also allows you to stream the movies.  So this is a bonus to me.

So far, I have been using Movies Capital for one whole year and am very satisfied with their service.  It’s not only affordable, it also has a wide selection of movies that I can download legally.

I have not encountered any problem with this site even though I had my initial reservations when I first saw the site. After all, there are many movie download sites that look more dynamic and flashy than Movies Capital. But I must admit that the service has been nothing short of professional and met my needs. This is why I always recommend Movies Capital to my friends if they want to download full movies.

Before I talk about Movies Capital, I want to discuss a bit about our home movie viewing options and movie download sites.

If you are thinking of watching movies from home, there are quite a few options available.

One option is to rent a nice DVD to watch. The advantage is it is much cheaper to rent than to buy the original DVD. Nowadays, it is also very easy to rent a DVD.

The second option is simply to watch movies from online streaming channels. While it is free, the fact is most of the quality of the channels are poor and reception as well as the clarify and resolution are often low.

I have tried this many times before and get really disappointed. Most channel connections break easily and picture quality is poor.  Imagine watching an action-packed movie like Iron man or Transformers in low blurry resolution. What a letdown!

The third option is to download the movies from movie download sites like Movies Capital. Many movie download sites have huge databases and allow you to download movies for a flat fee.

So it works out to be a much more affordable alternative than to rent. This is why movie download sites or services are getting more popular these days. The movie selection is good as well.

However, to select a movie download site does require some knowledge. With so many choices out there, it can be quite confusing. Here’s some tips for you to pick the best movie download site.

1. Paid Membership Rather Than Pay Per Download

When choosing a movie download site, you will often find 2 different payment options. One type of site is the “pay per download” site meaning that these sites charge you a fee for each movie you download. No matter how cheap each movie can cost, it still adds up.

The other type of site is the paid membership site which allows you access to a large number of movies for a flat one-time fee.

Obviously, the paid membership site is a better option.

2.  Wide Movie Selection

Since we are already paying for our movies, why not go for one with a huge movie selection? We all want to stretch our dollar. If you are like me who has tried out different movie download sites, you will soon realize that not all movie sites offer the same range of movie genres. Even their databases are not the same, ie some have a lot more movie titles than others.

Don’t be surprised that 2 sites that charge you the same membership fee can differ much in the number of movies in their databases.

3.  Fast Download Speeds

No one likes to waste time downloading a movie that takes hours. There are some movie download sites that are so overwhelmed and overloaded (especially free sites) that it takes forever to download a single movie. Movie sites like Movies Capital on the other hand are fast. They are equipped with download accelerators to allow you to download multiple files quickly.
